Transportation

Suburban Transportation

Families living within 15 miles of the school may be eligible for this service. These districts provide yellow school buses to transport students directly to Mount Mercy Academy.  Students living in the suburbs will be given a transportation form from Mount Mercy for the school district in which they live. Parents must complete the transportation form and mail it directly to their school district.

  • Blasdell students are eligible for transportation from the Frontier Central or Orchard Park school districts.

  • Dunkirk and Fredonia students are eligible for transportation through the Dunkirk/Fredonia school district. Please contact the district for details.

  • Kenmore/Town of Tonawanda (874-8611) and North Tonawanda (694-8013) students are eligible for free Metro passes. These passes must be ordered through the district.

City of Buffalo Transportation

Students living within the City of Buffalo are eligible for a Metro Bus Pass, which allows them free transportation to and from Mount Mercy Academy during the school year. Free Metro passes are available for all Buffalo residents living more than 1.5 miles from Mount Mercy Academy.

Metro bus forms are available in the main office at Mount Mercy Academy.

There is a daily special Metro bus on Abbott Road for the girls leaving Mount Mercy Academy to provide transportation at dismissal times.

Mount Mercy Academy Southern Tier Transportation

Mount Mercy Academy is excited to begin offering transportation to our Southern Tier families beginning in September of the 2023 school year. This has taken some time to implement however we are ecstatic to finally launch this project. We have wanted nothing more than to be able to give Southern Tier families an option for private, Catholic High School and we have worked hard to make this happen. We are thrilled!

The bus will have two pick up/drop off spots - the West Alley Municipal Parking lot in Fredonia and the entrance to Evangola State Park on Route 5 in Farnham. Pick up in Fredonia is 6:45am and pick up in Farnham is 7:15am. Drop off at the end of the day will be 3:40pm in Farnham and 4:10pm in Fredonia. This pick up/drop off plan will be evaluated by Mount Mercy administration and parents after the 2023-24 school year.

The current cost incurred by families will be between $1,500 and $2,000 per student for the year. The cost will not go over $2,000, however, we are hoping that cost can come down if we continue to add students. The remaining costs will be paid by Mount Mercy Academy.

We are so excited for our families, and for the future growth of this program. Please Julie DeCarolis, Director of Operations if you have any questions - jdecarolis@liuhengse.net.
